Workshop fire

My heart cries. For the wonderful pub Nachthafen, for my workshop, Ina's goldsmith shop, Fritjof's shop, Julius' studio, for all the ateliers, for the family's home in the house.

In the night of January 12, 2022, the Nachthafen pub in St. Pauli, located beneath my shared studio, burned down. We all suffered massive fire damage. My workshop did not burn, but it is massively damaged by soot and smoke.

In the end, it turned out that I suffered a complete total loss and have to dispose of absolutely everything.

Since February 7, 2022, my studio neighbor and friend Ina Miret from Goldschmiede Miret and I have found an exile in Brüderstraße. In the new premises, I am gradually setting myself up again until the building in Clemens-Schultz-Straße is renovated and I can return.

The first six weeks were pure madness - emotionally and physically! But most of it is done and now something like normality is slowly returning.
